A color gradient, also known as a color transition is the progression of one color that gradually fades and changes to another color.

Color gradients can range between one hue or more, depending on creative needs. The basic color gradient is usually the ombre effect of one hue, while using two or more hues can create a blending effect that is either linear or radial.

Types of gradients
